Try a session in the famous ‘red room’ and you’ll see it’s so much more than treadmill running and weights. The red light, the pumping music, and the strong presence of the instructors all come together to create one of the most memorable experiences in fitness.

Offering both 50 and 60-minute sessions, a typical Barry’s class involves coach-led treadmill running alternating with dumbbell and bodyweight strength work on “the floor”. 

Each day’s strength work has a different focus, with some days serving up ‘Full Body’ strength and others focusing on specific areas such as ‘Chest, Back and Abs’ and ‘Abs and Ass’. For those that prefer strength work, Barry’s offers the ‘double floor’ option, which skips the treadmill and doubles up on the weights.

Our reception journey was efficient, with a quick check-in and accurate confirmation of our booking. We were greeted promptly and able to move through the process without delay, with a comfortable and organised front desk area supporting a smooth arrival.

Guidance on arrival was limited. We were given basic directions but no structured orientation, and we needed to ask questions to understand the layout, particularly as the space had changed since a previous visit. There was no indication of where to wait and no health questionnaire was completed. After class, there was no proactive follow-up. We approached reception to ask about packages, where information was explained clearly and confidently, but there was no clear attempt to continue the conversation or encourage a return visit.

Our class experience was highly impressive, with strong energy and clear coaching throughout. We were welcomed into the session, the structure was explained clearly, and the class was delivered with a good balance of pace and control. Instructions and demonstrations were easy to follow, and the session flowed well from start to finish.

During the workout, coaching remained consistent and engaging. Timings were communicated clearly, technique was corrected, and progressions were offered where appropriate. There was regular movement around the room, with encouragement and support given throughout. The atmosphere was a standout, with a high level of energy, interaction, and a strong sense of community in the room.

There was no formal injury check at the start of class and no acknowledgement of injury. This did not disrupt the session, but reduced the level of individual care at the beginning.

Our experience in the studio was very positive, with a clean, well maintained and clearly branded training space. Equipment was in excellent condition, with a strong range of weights available to support different ability levels. The layout allowed for smooth movement between exercises, and everything was prepared and ready to use.

The studio environment was equally strong. Floors, walls and ceilings were well maintained, temperature was comfortable, and lighting and sound supported the pace of the class. Branding was clearly integrated into the space, and the overall setup delivered a professional and immersive training environment.

Our experience in the public areas was highly positive, with a clean, organised and well presented environment throughout. The club was easy to locate, and the layout was clear and easy to navigate. Waiting areas provided comfortable seating, and the overall space maintained a consistent and professional look.

Changing areas were clean and well equipped, with lockers in excellent condition and secure coded access. Towels were provided and neatly presented, and grooming amenities were well stocked and clearly displayed. Shower and bathroom facilities were clean, with good water pressure and consistent temperature.

Food and beverage options added to the overall experience, with complimentary water available alongside a range of paid drinks and a staffed coffee bar. Retail products were also available and aligned with the brand.

Our digital journey was smooth and easy to use. We were able to book a class online without difficulty, and the process was clear and efficient. The system displayed bookings clearly, with options to manage and cancel where needed.

Pre-visit communication was clear, with confirmation emails and payment receipts sent promptly. Key details such as arrival time and cancellation policy were communicated clearly. The website was easy to navigate, with clear class descriptions, schedules, and supporting information including directions and coach profiles.

Email communication was functional, with clear branding but limited personalisation. Social media was strong, with consistent and up-to-date content that reflected the in-club experience and supported the overall brand.

If you’re looking for a longer-term commitment, memberships are available from 840AED for 8 classes per month up to 1,860AED for 30 classes.
