The Form Studios Story

Form Studios was founded by Jerry and Elissa Elhadj, a couple who shared a mutual love for fitness and movement.

With strong athletic backgrounds, the founders built a fitness concept that would inspire and educate, in the belief that people should not just train, but should learn about their bodies and health.

Form Studios’ Notting Hill location was launched, offering a diverse array of classes and training options. It has since won the Tatler Gym Award three times.

How Did Form Studios Notting Hill Score Overall?

The full client experience at Form Studios Notting Hill was great, achieving The Fit Guide Award Of Excellence.

The class was also very good, winning our Class Experience Award of Excellence.

The Highlights

The engagement and personalization from our instructor was a particular highlight of the experience.

The citrus scent and cool music playlist stood out.

What Our Evaluator Had To Say

“The coach was very supportive and encouraging throughout the session, which really gave me the confidence to keep pushing.

“The coach used my name throughout the class, which was a lovely personalized touch.”

“The training floor, mirrors and equipment all appeared exceptionally clean, and training stations were positioned with plenty of room between them.”

What To Expect From A Form Studios Purecore Session

Form Studios offer a diverse and varied mix of classes including yoga, TRX and their own Pilates class, Purecore.

Purecore uses a machine called a ‘MOTR’, which is smaller than a regular reformer but has cables that offer a similar function and effect, but in a more space efficient way. Purecore sessions are 45 minutes long and focus on slow controlled movements aimed at strengthening and sculpting muscle.

The Reception Service

Our pre-visit calls to the branch all went unanswered.

On arrival, there was no dedicated reception area or staff member in place, though the coach warmly welcomed us once she opened the doors and invited us in.

Check-in was handled efficiently on the training floor, and class details were confirmed, but there was little in the way of orientation or guidance for first-time visitors. We weren’t told where to wait, and the space didn’t offer the welcoming feel of a staffed front desk. Still, the was polite, with the coach making the process easy once the studio was open.

After class, the coach took the time to explain class packs and memberships, sharing useful details like pricing, options to freeze, and current promotions. While there wasn’t a strong attempt to encourage us to return or ask questions about our training needs, the conversation felt open and pressure-free.

The Class Experience

Form Studios Notting Hill received The Fit Guide Class Experience Award of Excellence, making it one of London’s stand-out offerings.

The class at Form Notting Hill was an enjoyable and motivating experience from start to finish. The coach set a warm, encouraging tone, quickly learning and using names throughout the session. Her friendly energy made the more challenging parts of the workout feel achievable, and she struck the right balance between support and motivation without being pushy.

The session itself flowed smoothly, with clear demonstrations making each exercise easy to follow. The coach moved around the room to offer guidance and discreet form corrections. First-timers were given special attention, with the coach checking in and offering words of encouragement throughout.

While the cooldown moment lost a little of its atmosphere when the music system failed, the coach handled it calmly and carried on. The class ended with a friendly, if slightly understated, wrap-up, and the coach took time afterwards to chat with new clients about the studio’s other classes and options. Overall, this was a solid session.

The Equipment And Studio

The studio at Form Notting Hill had a really easygoing, calming vibe that made it a great place to train. The floor, mirrors and equipment were spotless, and the room felt open and airy with plenty of space between stations. The branding was low-key, but the simple, clean décor felt intentional and fit the club’s understated style perfectly.

The equipment itself was on point – high quality, in great condition. Everything needed for class was ready and waiting, which made the whole set-up feel effortless.

The Facilities And Public Areas

Form Notting Hill’s public areas pretty small - more of a hallway than a lounge – but they still felt neat and well-kept. There was a fresh citrusy scent in the air and some upbeat music drifting in from the studio, which gave the space some atmosphere. With just one toilet/shower room and three stools outside the training floor, though, it wasn’t really a place to linger.

The single combined toilet and shower was spotless and in excellent condition, with hot water and strong pressure, plus neatly rolled towels waiting for use. That said, knowing others might be waiting made showering feel a bit rushed, and the coach filling up the water jug at the bathroom sink after class made it clear how shared and multi-purpose the space was.

There weren’t many extras. There were no lockers, and amenities were limited to handwash and hand cream, but complimentary towels and water were provided.

Digital And Technology

Booking a class with Form Notting Hill was straightforward enough, but the digital experience was otherwise minimal. There was no booking confirmation sent after reserving the class, which left us double-checking our account to be sure the spot was secured. While the website itself was professional and easy to navigate, it didn’t offer any extra touches.

The website had the basics covered, and the class descriptions were clear and friendly in tone. There was no app,or links to social media, and the blog content hadn’t been updated in years, which made it feel a little forgotten.
