What to Expect From A Division Athletics Paya Lebar Session

Division Athletics (often shortened to “Division” amongst their devoted following) has quickly become established as one of Singapore’s leading independent strength and conditioning facilities.

Division offers three class types - their 55-minute Strength program is delivered in 12-week cycles and focuses on progressive overload, with sessions further broken down into Hypertrophy, Strength, and Power. Expect fundamental movements such as squats, deadlifts, pushes and pulls, with results tracked to ensure progression.

Their Conditioning sessions are 45 minutes long and deliver intense cardio work using rowers, air bikes, ropes, slam balls and free weights. Conditioning class types include Aerobic, Anaerobic and Flux Cardio, with each working on different energy pathways.

Coalition is their hybrid class, offering a mix of both cardio and strength work.

The Reception Service

On arrival, the team set a friendly, professional tone. We were greeted promptly at the desk by two team members who explained the essentials clearly and helped us feel comfortable straight away. The space felt organised and efficient, and registration was completed quickly without any friction.

Before class, we were given a short walkthrough of the club, with clear directions to lockers, showers and the water station. The tour was useful without feeling rushed, and we had time to settle in before the session. After class, the front desk team followed up in a relaxed, confident way, taking time to explain packages and offers without any pressure.

The Class Experience

Division Athletics Paya Lebar received our Class Experience Award of Excellence.

Division’s signature strength session created a focused, small-group environment with steady energy and hands-on coaching. The structure was clear, blending technique, power and endurance in a way that felt purposeful rather than rushed. The coach offered specific form corrections and explained the intent behind each movement, which helped the session feel considered and well guided.

The atmosphere stayed supportive throughout, with the smaller class size allowing for individual attention without pressure. The session ran slightly over time, but this allowed for a proper stretch and a calm wrap-up, leaving us feeling worked, supported and satisfied with the session.

The Equipment And Studio

The equipment at Division Paya Lebar stood out straight away. Everything felt new and well chosen, from the branded weight plates to the Woodiron rigs with integrated cable stations, which are rarely seen in group training spaces. The floor was spotless, well lit and laid out like a proper performance facility rather than a standard class studio.

The design supported that same training-first feel. Polished concrete finishes, a branded turf track and a central wall separating the two workout zones gave the space structure and purpose. Lighting and sound were used well, creating an environment that felt serious about performance while still being motivating to train in.

The Facilities And Public Areas

Public areas were bright, spacious and consistent with Division’s modern brand look. The waiting area offered comfortable seating and worked well as a pre-class meeting point. Changing rooms were generous in size, with secure key lockers, free towels and clean showers with good water pressure.

Amenities were limited to hand soap, but everything was tidy and well presented, with mirrors finished with clean backlighting. Complimentary water was available, though there was no snack or beverage bar. Overall, the space balanced function, comfort and visual clarity well.

Digital And Technology

Booking a class with Division was quick and straightforward. Both the website and app were easy to use, with clear schedules, trainer bios and simple payment options. The process felt smooth and professional, although a booking confirmation email did not come through as expected.

The website had a clean, modern look with strong visuals and clear copy that reflected the brand’s focus on performance and progression. Social media was polished and gave a realistic sense of the in-studio experience. With a branded app and Hapana-powered system in place, the overall digital setup felt reliable and well considered, matching the club’s high standards in person.
